Tatanagar Station Enhances Passenger Information System

Extended coach indicator display and continuous announcements to improve traveler experience

Tatanagar railway station implements new measures to provide better train information and reduce passenger confusion.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tatanagar station has introduced new measures to enhance passenger convenience through improved train information systems.

The coach indicator will now remain active for the entire duration a train is stationed at the platform.

This change allows passengers to easily identify their train’s location throughout their wait.

Continuous announcements from the inquiry centre will provide updates on train platforms and status.

The decision follows an inspection by Senior DCM Aditya Chaudhary from the Chakradharpur division.

Previously, the coach indicator operated for only half an hour, causing confusion during delays or rescheduling.

The new system will run for one hour to accommodate longer waiting periods.

Announcements for trains on various routes will now include updates about altered schedules and platform assignments.

This improvement aims to reduce the need for passengers to visit the inquiry centre frequently.

The changes are expected to alleviate overcrowding at the inquiry center.

These enhancements are part of ongoing efforts to improve the overall passenger experience at Tatanagar station.
