Family Attacked, Attempted Rape Reported in Mango, Jamshedpur

Mahavir Pramanik’s family was assaulted; police investigation underway after attempted rape.

A family in Mango, Jamshedpur, was assaulted, with members narrowly escaping an attempted rape. The police are currently investigating the incident.

JAMSHEDPUR – Mahavir Pramanik and his family in Mango’s God Basti were brutally assaulted, and there was an alleged attempt to rape his daughter and wife on Monday morning.

The incident began with a dispute over dirty water on the road, which escalated into violence.

Mahavir Pramanik reported that their neighbors, Raju God, Sunil God, Vishal, Dabu, and Pappu God, had been mentally harassing his wife and daughter for two days before the attack.

During the confrontation, the attackers attempted to rape both daughter and her mother, he said.

His wife was allegedly dragged out of the house, thrown into a drain, and robbed of her gold chain and earrings.

Other family members, including Mahavir’s elder daughter, son-in-law Hiralal Pramanik, and younger brother Shibu Pramanik, were also injured.

One of the attackers, Vishal God, reportedly broke his hand during the scuffle.

The injured family members have been taken to MGM Hospital for treatment.

Police have been notified and are currently investigating the case.
