Thousands Attend Grand Bhajan Evening in Jamshedpur

Kanhaiya Mittal enthralls 25,000 devotees; Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat honored

Devotees gathered for a grand bhajan evening on the final Monday of Shravan at Sakchi Gurudwara ground.

JAMSHEDPUR – A grand bhajan evening organized by Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh drew thousands to Sakchi Gurudwara ground on Shravan’s final Monday.

The spiritual event, held on August 19, attracted over 25,000 devotees to celebrate the conclusion of the Shravan month.

Renowned bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal from Chandigarh captivated the audience with his Shiv Stuti.

The organizers provided seating, refreshments, and bhog to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees.

Starting late in the evening, the program continued into the night, maintaining a spiritual atmosphere throughout.

Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat received the prestigious Sangh Ratna Seva Samman for his four decades of service to tribal and underprivileged communities.

The event also recognized 11 other individuals with the Utkrishta Samman for their societal contributions.

Addressing the gathering, Kanhaiya Mittal dispelled misconceptions about Lord Shiva, stating, "Lord Bholenath never consumed intoxicants. Cannabis paste was applied to his throat solely to neutralize poison, not as a drug."

A local devotee shared, "The bhajan evening was a divine experience. Mittal’s soulful renditions transported us to a different realm."

Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including former MP PN Singh, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, and MLA Saryu Roy.

The event also honored notable individuals from healthcare, social work, and literature for their exceptional societal contributions.
