Mango police arrested a van driver within 2 hours after he attempted to abuse a 4-year-old girl on her way home from school. The incident has sparked outrage across the city.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a swift response, Mango police arrested a school van driver accused of abusing a 4-year-old girl in the Mango area.
The City SP Rishav Garg said that the police has arrested the criminal who brought shame to humanity.
On August 10, the criminal had sexually abused a three and a half year old girl.
He said: “As soon as the police got information about this incident, they took immediate action and arrested Jayshree Tiwari, a resident of Daiguttu under Mango Police Station area. The criminal was the driver of the school van and had committed this incident while dropping the girl home from school.”
He said that a case has been registered by the police under the POCSO Act. At present, the police has sent the criminal to judicial custody.

The horrific incident occurred when the driver allegedly assaulted the child inside the van while taking her home from school.
The terrified girl did not speak out initially, but later, due to severe pain, she tearfully informed her family about the incident.
The family immediately reported the crime to the police.
Mango police acted quickly, seizing the van and arresting the driver.
The SHO of Mango police station, Niranjan, stated that the police apprehended the accused within 2 hours of receiving the complaint.
He also mentioned that a thorough investigation is underway.
This incident has triggered widespread anger across the city, with many questioning the safety of school children in such vehicles.
The arrest has brought some relief, but concerns about the security measures for children during their commute have escalated.
