Water Crisis Hits Mango Kalika Nagar, Jamshedpur; Residents Plead for Help

One Month Without Supply; Local Women Buy Water, BJP Leader Vikas Singh Promises Action

Residents of Mango Kalika Nagar in Jamshedpur face a severe water crisis for a month; local BJP leader Vikas Singh assures resolution after the minister remains unresponsive.

JAMSHEDPUR – People residing near Khanka of Mango Kalika Nagar, Jamshedpur, have been without water supply for the past month, causing considerable distress.

Approximately one hundred houses have been affected by the shortage, leaving the residents yearning for water.

The locals claimed that the entire system appears to have collapsed, and efforts to contact the local authorities have proven fruitless.

Local resident Rajguru Sharma informed BJP leader Vikas Singh that he tried to contact Health Minister and local MLA Banna Gupta for almost ten consecutive days but received no response.

A representative from the minister’s office assured that the problem would be resolved soon, yet a month has passed without any action.

Local women, who earn daily wages, told BJP leader Vikas Singh that they are purchasing water at the rate of ₹300 per thousand liters, with three people contributing to buy water and distributing it equally among themselves.

This situation has caused financial strain and even discord among the residents.

Upon learning about the issue, Vikas Singh assured the local people that he would inform the Deputy Commissioner as well as the Municipal Corporation and Drinking Water & Sanitation Department to address the problem.

He vowed to push for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the community, a move that provided a glimmer of hope for those affected by the ongoing water crisis.

Present at the meeting were prominent local figures such as Rajguru Sharma, Manoj Singh, Ram Pukar Pandey, Indu Bhushan Singh, Ashok Singh, Mohd. Ifan, Mohd. Mannan, Mohd. Chand, Mohd. Sabeer, Mohd. Mustaq, Bhola Singh, Grease Singh, Vishal Kumar, and Sandeep Sharma.
