Women from Ram Mandir area in Bistupur demand basic amenities from the Deputy Commissioner, highlighting urgent needs.

JAMSHEDPUR – A group of women from the bastis behind Ram Mandir in Bistupur, led by social worker Bacche Lal Bhagat, visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office to submit a memorandum requesting basic amenities for the residents.

The women highlighted the lack of drinking water, electricity, and toilets in their area, forcing them to struggle for these essential services.

They explained that they previously used a vacant field built by Tata Steel for defecation, but the installation of CCTV cameras by the Ram Mandir committee has exacerbated their problems.

The women pointed out that neither electricity nor government-provided toilets have been made available in their area.

They urged the Deputy Commissioner to expedite the construction of toilets and provision of other basic amenities for the basti residents.

The memorandum emphasized the urgent need for action to improve the living conditions of the residents.

The women expressed hope that their demands would be addressed promptly to alleviate their difficulties.

The meeting with the Deputy Commissioner underscored the critical issues faced by the community and the need for immediate intervention.
