Court Issues Notice to Police Over Witness No-Show in Murder Cases
ADJ-2 demands explanation from Birsanagar and Kadma station in-charges
Jamshedpur court issues show cause notices to police for failing to present witnesses in two separate murder cases.
JAMSHEDPUR – ADJ-2 Aabhas Verma’s court issued show cause notices to Birsanagar and Kadma police station in-charges for failing to present witnesses in two murder cases.
The court ordered the police officers to appear in person and explain their non-compliance with previous directives.
In the Birsanagar Zone No. 3B case, key witnesses in Aniket Tiwari’s murder have not appeared in court.
The FIR was filed by Ganesh Tiwari, reporting his son Aniket’s murder on September 1, 2021.
Despite court orders, witnesses including Ganesh Tiwari and Pushpakant Pandey have not been presented.
A similar situation exists in a Kadma police station case involving a murderous attack.
Witnesses Avinash Upadhyay and Kunal Sao, among others, have failed to testify in this case.
Avinash Upadhyay had reported being assaulted by several individuals on February 11, 2019.
The absence of witness testimony has left both cases unresolved.
The court has taken a serious view of this non-compliance with its orders.
This development highlights the challenges in the judicial process when witnesses fail to appear.
The police officers’ response to these notices could have significant implications for the progress of both cases.
