JAMSHEDPUR – While preparing for a national assessment, a local educational institution is incorporating sustainable energy.

The installation of a 50 KVA solar facility at Jamshedpur Workers College is a substantial stride toward sustainability.

The objective of the new solar facility is to decrease the campus’s dependence on conventional power sources and satisfy its increasing electricity requirements.

"This initiative will significantly reduce our electricity expenses while simultaneously advocating for renewable energy," declared a spokesperson for the college.

The solar plant, which is being funded by the Central and State Governments, will be installed on the roof of the primary building.

The new electrical system is anticipated to be operational within a month, according to the college authorities.

The institution is currently in the process of preparing for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluation in conjunction with this ecological initiative.

On Friday, a critical meeting was conducted to evaluate the college’s preparedness for the NAAC assessment.

Dr. Alok Kumar provided a thorough report on the preparations that had been made in anticipation of the evaluation.

In command of the NAAC committee at Kolhan University, Dr. PK Pani is a senior teacher who provided invaluable guidance throughout the process.

"The current seven-point NAAC evaluation system will be in effect only until December 2024," Dr. Pani informed the attending audience.

Principal Dr. Satyapriya Mahalik encouraged faculty members to carry out all remaining assignments to the best of their ability.

Additionally, the college is emphasizing the development of its digital infrastructure to accommodate the growing demand for data and network services.

The computer center facilities are undergoing an upgrade, and a new network connection has been established.

An introductory session for newly enrolled students was announced by Dr. Mahalik, and graduation classes are scheduled to commence in August.
