Jamshedpur DC Leads Crucial Meeting on Welfare Schemes

District-wide Coordination Efforts Aim to Boost Development Projects

Jamshedpur officials review progress of various welfare schemes, emphasizing transparency and timely completion of development projects across departments.

JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate Ananya Mittal chaired a key coordination committee meeting to assess welfare scheme progress.

The gathering at the Collectorate Auditorium brought together officials from various departments to evaluate the implementation of welfare initiatives across the district. Emphasis was placed on accelerating development work through improved interdepartmental cooperation.

Block administrations presented progress reports on scheme execution in their respective areas. The District Magistrate stressed the importance of transparency and timely completion of all projects, urging officials to adhere strictly to established guidelines.

Housing Schemes Under Scrutiny

A thorough review of housing schemes revealed mixed progress. "We’ve identified delays in about 200 houses in Potka and Chakulia," stated a senior official. "Our priority is to commence construction immediately and ensure beneficiaries receive their due installments."

The meeting addressed the Abua Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, and Ambedkar Awas Yojana. Officials were directed to expedite the release of installments to eligible beneficiaries, particularly those under the PM Janman scheme.

Employment and Rural Development Initiatives

Efforts to boost employment through MNREGA were discussed, with a focus on increasing man-days creation. The Birsa Harit Gram initiative received a firm August 5 deadline for completing pit digging across the district.

"Our goal is to transform every village playground into a hub of sporting activity," remarked a block development officer, discussing the Poto Ho Playground scheme’s progress.

Women and Child Welfare

The Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana took center stage, with officials instructed to streamline the application process by cross-referencing school data with voter lists. A push for electrification of Anganwadi centers was also initiated, with a 20-day target set for completion.

Pension Schemes and Infrastructure Development

Addressing issues with the Sarvajan Pension Yojana, officials highlighted the need for beneficiaries to update their bank account details. Plans for inaugurating Panchayat Gyan Kendras (Libraries) between August 1-5 were also finalized.

Agriculture and Food Security

The meeting covered various agriculture and animal husbandry schemes, emphasizing the need for proper ESCROW account management and land allocation for warehouses. Stricter monitoring of ration distribution was mandated to ensure fair practices.

Education and Healthcare

Education department officials were tasked with compiling a list of schools without electricity. The meeting also addressed the pending Aadhaar cards for children lacking birth certificates.

Healthcare initiatives, including the availability of anti-snake bite medicines and the inspection of malnutrition treatment centers, were reviewed. Officials were urged to maximize applications for the Chief Minister’s Health Assistance Scheme.
