Advanced Crematorium with Modern Facilities Under Construction in Salgajhuri

Project Led by MLA Saryu Roy Expected to Be Completed by December 2024

Construction of an advanced crematorium near Salgajhuri railway crossing is underway, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and environmentally conscious features.

JAMSHEDPUR – A new crematorium is currently being built near Salgajhuri railway crossing. It will have modern facilities and will be designed with the environment in mind.

This crematorium, which is funded by the 15th Finance Commission, is being led by Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy. It operates using gas and has been financed at a cost of 2.32 crores.

Originally intended for Moharda, the project had to be moved to Salgajhuri because of logistical limitations.

The construction process started with the endorsement of MLA Saryu Roy, who emphasized the importance of building structures and setting boundaries.

Anticipated completion is set for December 2024, bringing with it a promise of improved convenience and community development.

MLA Saryu Roy has emphasized the importance of engaging in discussions with engineers to expedite the progress of the project.

The crematorium features a furnace that operates using gas, which helps minimize pollution. It also has the ability to burn wood, providing an alternative option.

The premises will provide plenty of shade from trees and utilize solar panels to generate sustainable electricity.

Solar power can help operate all electrical equipment, which in turn contributes to conserving energy.

In addition to that, the plans also take into consideration the need for a dedicated crematorium for animals, which aims to address the important matter of post-mortem disposal.

There are various amenities available for mourners, such as a large waiting hall, a VIP room, and an observation area where they can witness the final rituals.

Locker facilities are available for bone preservation, along with gender-specific toilets. Additionally, there is a beautifully landscaped pond with a park, adding to the overall amenities.

Once finished, the Salgajhuri crematorium will function as a contemporary facility that provides respectful farewell ceremonies, with a focus on protecting the environment and benefiting the community.
