MP Bidyut Baran Mahato Raises NH-18 and NH-33 Issues in Parliament
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato addresses NH-18 and NH-33 concerns in Jamshedpur constituency, calling for urgent repairs and infrastructure improvements.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato raised the issue of the deteriorating condition of National Highway-18 and National Highway-33 in his parliamentary constituency, Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a notification under Rule 377, MP Bidyut Baran Mahato highlighted the problems associated with National Highway-18, which passes through Baharagora block in Jamshedpur.
He pointed out that the service road at Kaliadinga Chowk, which serves as the main road, is in poor condition.
Key Issues Raised
This area, being a tri-junction of Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, is plagued with severe issues including frequent road accidents and waterlogging.
Mahato noted that a 2-kilometer stretch on both sides of the PCC road has not been constructed, exacerbating the problems of waterlogging and increasing the likelihood of accidents.
Concerns on NH-33
Additionally, MP Mahato discussed the issues on National Highway-33 near Om Hotel turn, where a bus stand on one side and the main market on the other side create significant difficulties for people trying to cross the road. He suggested that the construction of an overbridge in this area would alleviate traffic congestion and benefit the public.
Request for Underpass
Mahato also mentioned the need for an underpass in Phuldungri within the Ghatshila region, which would help in reducing road traffic congestion.
Appeal to the Minister
Concluding his address, MP Mahato requested the Minister to take cognizance of these issues and expedite their resolution for the safety and convenience of the public.
The proposed infrastructure improvements, including the construction of an overbridge and underpass, are expected to significantly enhance road safety and traffic management in the affected areas.
