Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to bring its iconic Taj brand to Ranchi, marking a significant expansion into Jharkhand’s capital city.

RANCHI – IHCL has revealed its elaborate plans to open an opulent Taj hotel in Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand, too thereby marking the business’s first foray into Jharkhand’s quickly rising capital.

A six-acre parcel of land acquired from the Jharkhand government will be used for the project’s development.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director of IHCL, on the other hand has expressed enthusiasm on the strategic expansion of his company and its increasing footprint in different parts of the country.

He especially emphasized Ranchi’s potential as a developing hub for commerce, industry, and culture and said that the state capital is likely to see increasing interest from investors.

According to the plans, the new hotel will be located in Dhurwa, which has good access and visibility.

There will be 200 tastefully furnished rooms with contemporary conveniences for visitors.

The site will have large banqueting spaces to accommodate all kinds of gatherings.

There will be a wide variety of eating alternatives to suit various gastronomic tastes in the hotel planned in Ranchi.

Sources said that the hotel intends to provide a cutting-edge wellness center for visitors to unwind and revitalize.

Observers said that it is close to important government agencies and company headquarters due to its placement in the Core Capital Area.

Mr. Chhatwal added that this initiative is in line with Ranchi’s continuous smart city transition.

With this expansion, IHCL will have now have six properties in Jharkhand total—one of which is being developed now.

Sources added that the IHCL’s dedication to growing its footprint in developing markets is demonstrated by this project.
