RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a crucial meeting with Ajay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, at the Jharkhand Secretariat.
The discussion centered on the proposed redevelopment and expansion of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi.
CM Soren reviewed detailed plans for renovating RIMS‘ old facilities and constructing new infrastructure.
A senior official stated, "This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing Jharkhand’s premier medical institution."
RIMS Redevelopment Highlights
The proposal includes renovating old OPD, IPD, and academic blocks.
Plans for new residential bungalows for key hospital officials were presented.
Construction of a new OPD block and forensic medicine department building is proposed.
Infrastructure improvements like covered pathways, drainage, and electrical work are part of the plan.
Jadugoda Temple Development
CM Soren approved Rs 1503.62 lakh for developing sites near Rankini Temple, Jadugoda.
The project falls under the "Tree Plantation and Land Conservation on Notified Forest Land" scheme for 2024-26.
This approval demonstrates the government’s commitment to preserving religious heritage alongside environmental conservation.
