Naxal Posters Cause Panic Ahead of Kolhan Shutdown

CHAIBASA – Ahead of the Kolhan shutdown on July 10, Naxalites have created an atmosphere of fear in Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum, by putting up posters.

On Tuesday, Maoists placed posters and banners on the Chakradharpur-Sonua main road in the Rangamati area.

The incident has caused panic in the surrounding regions.

Residents discovered the posters in the morning, bearing messages from the CPI (Maoist) Naxalites.

Content of the Posters

The posters read, "Red salute to the martyrs of Kolhan Saranda Lipunga. Revenge for blood is blood."

The posters were signed by the South Zonal Committee of the CPI (Maoist).

The message clearly opposes the ongoing anti-Naxal operations.

These posters were found near the Rangamati market and the primary school in Jenabeda, causing alarm among locals.

Continuous Anti-Naxal Operations

Security forces have been conducting ongoing operations against Naxalites in the Kolhan and Saranda forests.

These operations have reduced Naxal activities significantly.

Recently, security forces achieved a significant victory against the Naxalites, killing six in an encounter.

In response, the CPI (Maoist) has called for a shutdown in the Kolhan division on July 10.

To ensure the shutdown’s success, Naxalites have resorted to putting up posters.

Aftermath of the Encounter

Following the encounter, police have destroyed several Naxal bunkers and seized explosives and weapons.

With the continuous success of security forces, the extremist group appears to be on the defensive.

Locals speculate that the increased pressure from security forces has led to the surge in Naxal poster activities.
