JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, Dr. Ajoy Kumar, a popular former MP of Jamshedpur and a member of the Congress Working Committee, distributed football kits to approximately 150 players from 10 football teams in various parts of the city.

The event aimed to promote sports among children and encourage them to play on the field instead of spending time on mobile phones, thereby fostering their physical and mental development.

Dr. Kumar emphasized that mobile phones are the biggest enemy of today’s youth.

He also advised children to stay away from religious politics and focus on their education and sports careers.

Jharkhand has no shortage of talent; what is needed is the right opportunities,” Dr. Kumar stated.

He expressed his hope for a bright future for these young players and noted that the lack of kits was hindering their performance.

“India will win if it plays,” he added, promising continued support for these players.

Dr. Kumar mentioned that the state government recently provided government jobs to players who excelled at the international and national levels as a means of encouragement.

He also said he would discuss with the Chief Minister the establishment of district-level training centers for talented players.

Prominent attendees included Sanjeev Srivastava, Amit Rai, Raja Singh Rajput, and several others.
