Shri Lakshminarayan Temple Pran-Pratishtha Mahayagna Begins In Jamshedpur

Thousands Participate In Kalash Yatra To Kick Off Five-Day Ceremony

MLA Saryu Roy invites Cable Company’s Resolution Professional to attend consecration.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Pran-Pratishtha Mahayagna at Shri Lakshminarayan Temple in Cable Town commenced Wednesday with a grand Kalash Yatra, drawing thousands of devotees.

"This event marks the revival of a long-abandoned temple project," stated Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, the main host.

Thousands of women, mostly in yellow and red sarees, participated in the disciplined procession from Sonari Domuhani river.

Thirty-one Brahmins conducted rituals including Gauri-Ganesh worship, Varun Pujan, and various offerings at the riverbank.

The five-day ceremony will feature daily rituals such as invocation of gods, recitations, and various ‘adhiwas’ ceremonies.

Roy has invited Pankaj Tibrewal, Resolution Professional for the bankrupt Cable Company, to attend the July 7 consecration.

"We’re restoring a temple abandoned 30 years ago due to the company’s financial difficulties," Roy explained in his invitation.

Significant renovation work has been completed on the sanctum sanctorum, gopuram, and stairs.

Akhilesh Srivastava, representing workers in an NCLAT case, has been appointed legal advisor to the restoration committee.

The event highlights community efforts to revive cultural heritage amidst industrial challenges in Jamshedpur.
