Ganesh Singh, wanted for Ranjit Sardar’s killing, remains at large despite police raid

Jamshedpur authorities intensify hunt for murder suspect as court order puts pressure on investigation.

JAMSHEDPUR – A local court has issued a warrant against Ganesh Singh, the main accused in the 2022 murder of Ranjit Sardar in the Telco area of Jamshedpur.

The murder occurred on October 3, 2022, near Sabuj Kalyan Sangh in Telco.

Ranjit Sardar was shot dead while out with his daughter during Durga Puja celebrations.

The victim’s daughter, Taranjit, an eyewitness, filed an FIR naming Ganesh Singh as the accused.

Police conducted a raid on Singh’s residence in Mango Dimna Road on Thursday night but found it empty.

Telco Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shailendra confirmed the court-issued warrant against Singh.

The warrant was issued by First Class Judicial Magistrate Abhishek Kumar’s court.

Police plan to paste the warrant on Singh’s house soon as per legal procedure.

If Singh fails to appear in court within the stipulated time, authorities may proceed with property attachment.

The case highlights the ongoing challenge of apprehending suspects in high-profile murder cases.

Local residents express concern over the delay in arresting the accused, who has been at large for over a year.

Police officials assure that efforts to locate and arrest Ganesh Singh are ongoing and have intensified following the court order.
