JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant crackdown, police raided an illegal lottery centre operating in Golmuri market, Jamshedpur.

The raid revealed a large-scale operation running lotteries across the state.

Key figures, S Yadav and N Rao, have been identified in connection with the operation.

Sources indicate that tickets and cash worth lakhs of rupees were seized from the centre.

Following the raid, chaos ensued among the operators of the illegal business.

The lottery scheme had been active in the area for a considerable time.

A special team led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) carried out the raid, successfully apprehending members of the gang.

During the interrogation, the name of Jhunjhunwala from Bihar surfaced as a significant player in the operation.

The police have arrested two individuals and recovered a substantial amount of cash.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb illegal gambling activities.

A police spokesperson commented, “This raid is part of our continuous effort to eliminate illegal operations and maintain law and order.”

The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are expected as the police delve deeper into the network.
