Ceremonial Gathering Draws Thousands of Devotees for Spiritual Blessings
Under the leadership of Damodar Shani Baba, the Jharkhand Shani Shanti Yagna took place at the Shanidev Temple on Satyanarayan Mandir Road near Jugsalai Dukhu Market.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant religious event, the Jharkhand Shani Shanti Yagna, was held at the Shanidev Temple in Jugsalai on Thursday, led by Damodar Shani Baba.
The rituals commenced with the worship of Surya, Shani Dev’s son, aligning with the auspicious day of Amavasya.
Navgraha Puja and Havan began at 7 am and continued until 6 pm, with special guests participating in the Havan from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Prasad distribution started at 11 am and lasted until 5 pm, serving over four thousand devotees.
Pandit Gyani Sharma and Ashok Sharma conducted the prayer ceremonies.
Throughout the day, thousands of devotees gathered, seeking blessings from Shani Baba and tying the Raksha Sutra.
A cultural program kicked off at 7 pm, featuring local bhajan singer Prem Agarwal and his team, who performed devotional songs that inspired the audience.
Distinguished guests included MLAs Saryu Roy and Mangal Kalindi, former MLA Menka Sardar, District Council member Kavita, social worker Shambhi Singh, Rajendra Prasad, Manoj Puria, Arvind Mishra, Vimal Agarwal, Vishnu Sonkar, Anmol Verma, Shambhu Jaiswal, Kunal Bhalotia, Arun Goyal, Sangam Garg, Giriraj Maheshwari, Ankit Garg, Saurav Agarwal, and Anand Goyal, among others.
These guests were honored with turbans and scarves.
Participants and guests anointed the deity with oil and received blessings.
Key contributors to the event’s success included Mahant Damodar Baba, Gyani Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Soni Sharma, Shilpa Tapadia, Dharmendra Sharma, Nandkishore Thakur, and Manoj Puria.
