Chess Grandmaster Chandan Kumar Prasad Shares Expertise, Inspiring Young Enthusiasts

Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) is currently buzzing with excitement as it hosts a dynamic summer camp, offering a wide array of activities to engage and inspire young minds.

JAMSHEDPUR – With an impressive turnout of 300 enthusiastic students and the guidance of 10 dedicated coaches, the summer camp at Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) is proving to be a hub of learning, growth, and fun.

Each day of the camp brings new adventures and opportunities for the participants to explore their interests and develop their skills.

The second day of the camp, Sunday, featured a special session dedicated to the game of chess, with chess coach and International Arbiter Chandan Kumar Prasad taking center stage as the chief guest.

In a captivating two-hour presentation, Chandan shared his expertise and insights, revealing special tricks and strategies to enhance the students’ chess prowess.

The session was met with great enthusiasm, as the young learners eagerly absorbed the knowledge imparted by the seasoned chess master.

Under the guidance of experienced sports teachers Deepak Jagan and Shahbaz Khan, the summer camp is set to continue until May 17, 2024, providing ample time for the students to immerse themselves in a diverse range of sporting activities.

The camp offers an extensive selection of events, including athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, handball, hockey, karate, lawn tennis, rock climbing, Western music, volleyball, yoga, and zumba, catering to the varied interests and passions of the participants.

The opening ceremony, held on Saturday, set the stage for the exciting days ahead, with T.K Sukumaran, Trustee of the Board of Trustees at Kerala Samajam, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.

K. Muralidharan, President of KSMS, and Nandini Shukla, Principal of KSMS, were also present, underlining the school’s commitment to providing enriching experiences for its students.

As the summer camp at KSMS progresses, it promises to be a transformative experience for the young participants, nurturing their talents, fostering friendships, and creating lasting memories.

The dedication of the coaches and the enthusiasm of the students are testament to the school’s mission of holistic development and the cultivation of a love for learning and personal growth.
