A sudden fire engulfed a small cargo vehicle carrying bamboo in Jamshedpur near the Red Cross roundabout, causing chaos but showcasing the community’s quick response to emergencies. The vehicle, en route to Mango, suffered significant damage from what is suspected to be a short circuit, with the estimated loss reaching lakhs of rupees.

JAMSHEDPUR – Near Red Cross Chowk in Sakchi, a bamboo-loaded cargo vehicle caught fire on Thursday.

The incident, suspected to result from a short circuit, drew immediate public attention.

Vehicle owner Raj was transporting bamboo from Hotel Alcor to Mango.

Local residents and passersby united in efforts to extinguish the flames.

Despite their quick response, official help was delayed for about forty minutes.

No immediate support came from Sakchi Police, PCR, or Fire Brigade.

The community’s collective action significantly mitigated the fire’s impact.

However, the vehicle was nearly completely destroyed.

The financial loss due to the fire is substantial, amounting to lakhs.

This incident underlines the importance of community solidarity in crisis situations.
