CM Champai Soren Lays Foundation of Medha Dairy Plant in Jamshedpur

CM Sets New Goals for Jharkhand’s Prosperity, Vision Includes Leading in Milk Production and Enhancing Educational and Agricultural Sectors.

Chief Minister Champai Soren has launched an ambitious agenda aimed at transforming Jharkhand into a frontrunner in milk production while simultaneously elevating the state’s educational standards and agricultural productivity.

JAMSHEDPUR – During the inauguration of the Medha Dairy Plant in Baliguma, on Thursday Champai Soren announced comprehensive measures to boost milk production, improve farmer incomes, and ensure the educational advancement of the state’s youth.

"The state is committed not just to becoming self-reliant in milk production but to becoming a leader in the field," Soren remarked, underscoring the importance of the dairy sector in the state’s economy.

Soren’s initiatives include significant investments in the agricultural sector to empower farmers and cattle herders, aiming at their economic prosperity.

Enhancing the education system, particularly through the introduction of tribal and local languages at the primary level, is seen as pivotal to preserving Jharkhand’s cultural heritage.

"Our government is taking concrete steps to reach the benefits of our schemes to the last person in society," Soren said, highlighting the administration’s inclusive approach.

Preparations for the re-conduction of the JSSC examination, which was canceled due to a paper leak, are underway, signifying the government’s commitment to fair and transparent recruitment processes.

Plans to extend irrigation facilities to enable year-round farming have been announced, including a significant project to deliver water from Chandil Dam to fields through an underground pipeline.

"The initiative to supply water to fields through an underground pipeline from Chandil Dam will revolutionize agriculture in Jharkhand," Soren elaborated on the state’s infrastructural development.

With the foundation of the Medha Dairy Plant, the state expects to enhance its milk processing capacity from 2.5 lakh liters to 5 lakh liters per day, offering extensive employment opportunities.

An incentive scheme offering Rs 5 per liter to milk producers has been introduced, alongside a Rs 3.89 crore fund transfer to beneficiaries under the Milk Cow Distribution Scheme, signaling the government’s support for the dairy sector.

Education and Cultural Preservation

Soren’s plans for the educational sector aim to intertwine learning with cultural preservation, offering students education in their mother tongue to ensure a deeper connection with their heritage.

Innovations in Agriculture and Dairy

The establishment of the Medha Dairy Plant and the improvement of irrigation systems represent a dual strategy to enhance Jharkhand’s agricultural output and dairy sector, aiming for economic self-sufficiency and growth.
