JAMSHEDPUR – Dhirol village in Potka was the venue for the Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Day celebration, organized by Youth Unity for Voluntary Action alongside Comic Relief, Kriya, Delhi.
The event featured a block-level group discussion with a diverse group of participants, including health service providers, Panchayat representatives, and women and girls, including those with disabilities.
The focus was on safeguarding sexual and reproductive health rights and overcoming related challenges.
Asha Rani Sardar, the Panchayat head, emphasized identifying barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive health rights.
Healthcare providers highlighted how patriarchal norms limit the choices available to women and girls, impacting their education, employment, and personal lives.
Participants, including leader girls Sapna, Sajna, Ronika, Madhuri, and Priyanka, played pivotal roles in the success of the program, fostering a collaborative environment for discussing sensitive health issues.
