Telugu Classes Attract Diverse Participants

Free Online Telugu Language Classes See Wide Participation

Jharkhand Telugu Sena’s online Telugu class draws over 25 candidates, including a 75-year-old, under AITCWA’s initiative.

JAMSHEDPUR – The third batch of the online Telugu language class, organized by Jharkhand Telugu Sena (JTS) under the All India Telugu Community Welfare Association (AITCWA), has commenced with over 25 participants.

This batch includes candidates from across Jharkhand and individuals from Odisha, Hyderabad, and Chennai, totaling 28 participants.

Since its inception in 2021, the program has been led by Madam Sridevi, a Ranchi school teacher, focusing on the fundamentals of the Telugu language.

The initiative aims to promote and preserve the Telugu language and culture among the Telugu community residing outside Telugu-speaking states and abroad.

PSN Murty, President of AITCWA, highlighted the effort to connect Telugu people with their mother tongue, amidst concerns over the diminishing cultural connection among the younger generation.

The program has attracted over 500 enrollees aged between 5 to 35 years from around the world, including the USA, Germany, and the UAE.

Plans are underway to introduce offline classes by March next year, depending on the online initiative’s success.

JTS, active in welfare activities across 18 states and 24 countries, emphasizes the importance of the Telugu community, irrespective of age or gender, in maintaining their linguistic heritage.

The course provides study materials in PDF format and encourages both Telugu and non-Telugu individuals to seize this educational opportunity.

The welcoming of the third batch was marked by the presence of key figures from AITCWA, emphasizing the program’s significance in cultural preservation.
