Nine Retirees Honoured With Shawls and Mementoes at Gopeshwar Hall

JAMSHEDPUR – The Tata Motors Workers Union organized its monthly farewell and felicitation ceremony at Gopeshwar Hall on Monday.
Retired employees from several divisions were honoured during the event. Union representatives draped shawls over the retirees and presented them with mementoes.
The retirees attended the ceremony along with their family members. Each of them took turns sharing their experiences from their years of service.
Union president Shashi Bhushan Prasad and general secretary R.K. Singh jointly extended their wishes to the retirees. They also assured continued support from the union going forward.
Prakash Vishwakarma conducted the proceedings of the event. Several union office-bearers, committee members and R.K. Singh Fans Club members were also present.
Among those honoured was Gopal Mahato from the Central Maintenance division. Sudhir Kumar Pandey and Mohammad Israr Ahmed Khan from Real Axle were also felicitated.
Ashok Kumar Singh, representing the Foundry division, received recognition as well. Gopal Goswami from Medical Services was honoured during the ceremony too.
Raj Kishore Singh from the Trim Factory was among the retirees felicitated. Tarini Taran Das, representing the Vehicle Factory, was also honoured.
Vinod Prasad and Sanjeev Kumar Mitra, both from the BIW Factory, received mementoes as well. Pramod Narayan Chaudhary, representing the Transmission division, completed the list of retirees honoured.
The ceremony reflects a recurring tradition among Tatanagar-based unions to felicitate long-serving employees. Tata-affiliated worker bodies have also been active on other fronts recently, including a separate union meeting row and a related wage revision dispute. Separately, a workers’ body has also raised demands for permanent jobs, including a recent call for permanent sanitation jobs at Tata Steel.
