BJP Flays Jharkhand’s ‘Time Pass’ Budget
Kunal Sarangi labels state budget as neglectful of real issues, accuses government of populism.
Former MLA criticizes budget for lacking substance and failing to address people’s needs.
JAMSHEDPUR – BJP State Spokesperson and former MLA, Kunal Sarangi, has sharply criticized the Jharkhand government’s budget for the financial year 2024-25.
Labeling it a "time pass" budget, Sarangi condemned the JMM-Congress coalition for focusing on populist announcements rather than substantial issues.
He pointed out the government’s inefficiency, noting that less than 40% of the previous year’s budget was spent.
This, according to Sarangi, demonstrates a significant gap between the government’s plans and the actual needs of the populace.
Sarangi highlighted that only 10 of the 59 schemes announced in the previous year’s budget were completed.
He called on the government to shift its focus from political agendas to the welfare of the people, criticizing its preference for intermediaries.
This critique underscores a growing dissatisfaction with the state’s fiscal management and the demand for more meaningful governance measures.
