BERHAMPUR – The journey towards climate-resilient agriculture in Berhampur has just begun, with the conclusion of Udaan 2024 promising future growth, innovation, and unity.

The emphasis on women’s contributions and the engagement of young minds highlighted a vision of cultivating a community rooted in resilience and adaptability.

Experts like Dr. Sukant Kumar Sarangi and Dr. Biswanath Sahoo led discussions on innovation, playing a crucial role in developing a climate-resilient mindset among participants.

The dialogues at Udaan 2024 ventured into innovation realms, underlining the event’s role in fostering knowledge exchange and resilience among attendees.

A poignant moment was the felicitation of exemplary farmers and the awarding of the Jyoti Fellowship to 544 meritorious students from economically backward SC/ST families.

This gesture not only recognized their contributions but also inspired their peers, promising to pave the way for future leaders in agriculture and beyond.

Approximately 328 farmers engaged in discussions on disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and women’s empowerment in agriculture at the event.

The Tata Steel Foundation’s commitment to nurturing climate resilience in Gopalpur’s peripheral areas was highlighted, with a focus on practical aspects like dairy farming and financial inclusion.

Rockey Martin, Head of TSF Gopalpur, emphasized the foundation’s dedication to disaster risk reduction.

The program underscored TSF’s pledge to support climate resilience in Gopalpur over the next five years.
