Chief Minister Champai Soren, at the Itkhori Mahotsav, announced the state’s dedication to improving and safeguarding religious sites across all faiths.

Itkhori, known for its historical significance and as a melting pot of diverse religious beliefs, stands approximately 150 km from Ranchi, the state capital.

Recognized as a mini temple town, Itkhori was officially declared a state fair in 2016, a year after the Itkhori Mahotsav began.

During the festival, a variety of programs celebrate the rich cultural heritage shared by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains, reflecting the region’s deep-rooted religious diversity.

Soren’s commitment to enhancing these sacred spaces was reiterated at the festival’s opening ceremony, where he also paid respects at the Bhadrakali temple.
