Train Services Adjusted for Adra Division Upgrades

South Eastern Railway Announces Schedule Modifications Amid Development Works

Several train services in the Adra Division will see temporary adjustments to facilitate ongoing infrastructure improvements.

JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to accommodate infrastructure enhancement projects within the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, a series of train service regulations have been announced, affecting schedules on various dates.

The temporary adjustments include the cancellation of specific train services, such as the Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU Special and the Bhojudih-Chandrapura-Bhojudih MEMU Special on selected dates in February 2024.

Additionally, certain trains will experience short terminations or originate from alternative stations. This includes adjustments to the Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special and the Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, among others.

One notable change involves the Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special, which will be adjusted to start and finish its journey at Chandrakona Road on a specific date.

The Tatanagar-Hatia Express will be diverted to follow the Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri route on several dates, showcasing the extensive nature of the developmental works being undertaken.

These schedule modifications are part of a broader effort by the South Eastern Railway to enhance the railway infrastructure in the Adra Division, aiming for improved service delivery in the future.

Passengers affected by these changes are encouraged to consult updated schedules and plan their journeys accordingly, with the railway authorities making alternative arrangements to minimize inconvenience.

The South Eastern Railway appreciates the patience and cooperation of all passengers during this period of significant upgrades and development.
