South Eastern Railway Announces Schedule Modifications Amid Development Works
Several train services in the Adra Division will see temporary adjustments to facilitate ongoing infrastructure improvements.
JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to accommodate infrastructure enhancement projects within the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, a series of train service regulations have been announced, affecting schedules on various dates.
The temporary adjustments include the cancellation of specific train services, such as the Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU Special and the Bhojudih-Chandrapura-Bhojudih MEMU Special on selected dates in February 2024.
Additionally, certain trains will experience short terminations or originate from alternative stations. This includes adjustments to the Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special and the Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, among others.
One notable change involves the Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special, which will be adjusted to start and finish its journey at Chandrakona Road on a specific date.
The Tatanagar-Hatia Express will be diverted to follow the Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri route on several dates, showcasing the extensive nature of the developmental works being undertaken.
These schedule modifications are part of a broader effort by the South Eastern Railway to enhance the railway infrastructure in the Adra Division, aiming for improved service delivery in the future.
