JAMSHEDPUR – In a concerning incident early Thursday in Jamshedpur, the police have initiated an investigation following a hit-and-run accident.

The case involves a youth named Sarfaraz, who was severely injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle.

Sarfaraz, hailing from Jugsalai Islamnagar near Sakchi Old Court, was on his way to Mango for errands when the accident occurred.

His family, upon being notified hours later, rushed to the scene and subsequently transported him to a hospital for medical care.

Currently, Sarfaraz is receiving treatment, with his family by his side, hoping for a swift recovery.

The incident has raised concerns among the community about road safety and the accountability of drivers in such accidents.

Following the collision, which left Sarfaraz unconscious for an extended period, the driver responsible fled the scene, avoiding immediate apprehension.

Local police, informed by the victim’s family, are now thoroughly investigating the mishap in an effort to identify and locate the hit-and-run driver.

This unfortunate event has underscored the importance of vigilance and safety measures on the roads to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
