Theft Accusation Ends in Tragedy, One Dead, Another Injured

A theft suspect succumbs to injuries after a mob attack in Sidhgora, Jamshedpur, sparking police investigation.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a harrowing episode of mob justice, two men accused of theft were brutally assaulted by a group near Jaher Tola in Sidhgora, resulting in one fatality and one injury.

The Sidhgora police, upon notification, promptly intervened, rescuing the victims and facilitating their urgent medical treatment at MGM Hospital.

Aman Munda, one of the accused, tragically lost his life during treatment, while Sanjeet Dhan continues to receive care for his injuries, including a broken right hand.

Sanjeet recounted the morning’s events, explaining how they were ambushed by a crowd of 20 to 25 while attempting to sell a stolen cylinder.

The assault was characterized by the mob’s use of sticks, leading to severe injuries for both men before police intervention.

DSP City Sudhir Kumar has since launched an investigation into the incident, which has raised serious questions about law and public safety in the area.

This tragic event underscores the dangers of vigilante justice and highlights the need for proper legal processes to address alleged crimes.
