JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency is set to see enhanced connectivity and infrastructure development with the approval of an 8-kilometer road construction project, spearheaded by legislator Saryu Roy.

This initiative, valued at approximately Rs. 8.88 crore, aims to significantly improve the local road network.

The construction, divided into two phases, will cover critical areas including the Tata Timken Main Road and the vicinity of Babudih Basti, among other key locations.

Funded by the Road Construction Department, the project encompasses both new constructions and maintenance efforts, ensuring thorough enhancement of the area’s transportation facilities.

Just a week prior, the constituency received approval for over 12 kilometers of road construction, indicating a focused effort to revitalize Jamshedpur East’s infrastructure.

With a combined budget of around Rs 16 crore for both projects, the local road network is poised for substantial expansion and improvement.

Saryu Roy has emphasized the urgency of the tendering process, aiming to begin construction before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to utilize the allocated state funds effectively by March 31, 2024.

The planned roads will connect various key locations, including Birsanagar and Nirmal Nagar, facilitating smoother travel and accessibility for residents.

This development marks a significant step towards fulfilling the infrastructural needs of the Jamshedpur East constituency, reflecting the government’s commitment to regional growth and development.
