Danfit International Hosts Classical Dance Baithaki

JAMSHEDPUR – Danfit International organized Nritya Prabha on Mahashivaratri, featuring classical dancers from Jamshedpur and Kolkata in a spiritually charged evening.

Danfit International hosted the classical baithaki in Jamshedpur on Mahashivaratri. The evening celebrated devotion through traditional dance forms.

The ceremony began with floral offerings into a sacred vessel. Chief guests included Dr. Rajesh Kumar Lal Das, Sonali Chatterjee, Dr. Tapas Kumar Chatterjee, Biplab Dutta and P. K. Nandy.

Organizers honored the guests with angavastram and bouquets. Meanwhile, artists prepared for the opening invocation.

Team Danfit opened with Ganesh Vandana in Kathak style. The piece blended Niratata Dhang with devotional rhythm.

Thereafter, Tanisha Ghosh from Kolkata presented Ganga Taranga. The Odissi performance depicted the cosmic dance of Shiva.

Adriza Choudhury performed Natarajan Untiru Keertanam in Bharatanatyam. Moreover, her movements reflected precision and control.

Ananya delivered a Kathak solo in Teen Taal. On the other hand, Avinash staged a semi-classical composition.

Tanisha Ghosh returned with Leela Nidhi. The Odia abhinaya portrayed Lord Krishna’s divine play.

Adrita performed a vibrant Tarana in Kathak. Meanwhile, Ariha Adesra, Rudrakshi and Arya staged Basant Ritu Aai.

The group celebrated the arrival of spring through rhythm. In contrast, Team Kalatrayee offered a refined Kathak Tarana.

The trio included Avinash Kumar Mishra, Raima Biswas and Komal Prasad. The music was composed by Bageshree Vaze.

Choreography was guided by Guru Smt. Sonali Chatterjee. Moreover, Adriza Choudhury later performed Raagmalika Jatiswaram.

The Bharatanatyam piece highlighted layered rhythmic patterns. Meanwhile, Ankita Pal concluded with Shanti Mantra and Raas.

Her devotional finale created a solemn atmosphere. The audience responded with sustained applause.

All participating artists were felicitated at the end. The program unfolded under guidance of Kathak exponent Mistu Mukherjee.

Art lovers attended in large numbers across the city. The gathering reflected growing interest in classical traditions.

Similar cultural celebrations have marked the city’s festive calendar. Earlier, New Year dance event drew devotional audiences.

Students have also excelled nationally in Kathak. Notably, Kathak at Cuttack earned recognition.

University performers achieved parallel success last year. The women’s university triumph highlighted talent.

Community competitions continue attracting participation. Recently, the Sur Saptak contest gathered hundreds.

Such initiatives underline the city’s cultural vibrancy. Nritya Prabha added another chapter to this tradition.
