Bharti Banerjee Leads Jamshedpur Students to Victory in Orissa Dance Festival

Jamshedpur Public School’s Kathak team, under the guidance of award-winning dance teacher Bharti Banerjee, clinched first place at the Cuttack Mahotsav in Orissa, showcasing exceptional talent and styles.

JAMSHEDPUR – Under the skilled leadership of renowned dance guru Mrs. Bharti Banerjee, Jamshedpur Public School’s dance team achieved top honors in Kathak dance at the five-day Cuttack Mahotsav held in Cuttack city, Orissa.

The festival, a prestigious platform, saw participation from artists nationwide, displaying a wide range of talents and art forms.

The students of Jamshedpur Public School captivated the audience with their masterful execution of various Kathak styles, including Thaat, Amand, Tukda, and Paran.

Their performance, a blend of grace and technical precision, earned them widespread acclaim and the first prize.

Mrs. Banerjee, a recipient of numerous international awards and the dance teacher of the winning team, was also honored with the Nritya Garima Award for her outstanding contribution to dance.

Students Harshita, Pragati, Vaishnavi, Arshiya, Shreyasi, and Ishika were particularly noted for their brilliant portrayal of Kathak’s intricacies.

Acknowledging the support behind their success, Mrs. Banerjee credited Principal Mrs. Namita Aggarwal for her inspirational leadership and encouragement, which she believes was pivotal in driving the team to victory.
