Prayers and Rituals Embark the Start of Maha Ganapati Worship
The Sri Dharma Sastha Temple initiates the 76th Sastha Preeti with devout ceremonies and the Maha Ganapati prayers.
JAMSHEDPUR – The commencement of the Maha Ganapati prayers at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple, marking the beginning of the 76th Sastha Preeti, was observed with a series of sacred rituals starting on Friday.
The rituals began with a havan, setting a devout tone for the ceremonies.
During the event, the temple witnessed the conduction of the Maha Lakshmi Sri Sookta puja and the Sri Lakshmi Narayan Hrudayam by visiting Ved Pandits, further enriching the spiritual ambiance.
Under the guidance of Subramanya Shastrigal, P. N. Sankaran, the Working President of the Temple, led the Poornahuti and Vasordhara rituals, during which ghee was continuously offered into the havan.
The responsibility of performing the Kalash Abhishek for Sri Dharma Sastha was bestowed upon temple priests Sri Mohit Sharma, Sri Akash Sharma, and Sri Priyanshu Sharma.
Following the rituals, the temple’s governing committee members distributed Prasad to the thousands of devotees present, symbolizing the blessings of the divine.
The evening was further adorned with a captivating performance of South Indian classical music by Vidushi Vrinda Acharya and her troupe from Chennai, mesmerizing the gathered crowd.
Additionally, Ved Pandits recited passages from each of the four Vedas, contributing to the spiritual resonance of the occasion.
