Joba Majhi Leads Republic Day Celebrations in West Singhbhum
Minister Honors Heroes, Highlights Development at Police Line Center
West Singhbhum District celebrates 75th Republic Day with Minister Joba Majhi, showcasing parades and developmental achievements.
CHAIBASA – The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal at the Police Line Center in West Singhbhum district, with Minister of Women, Child Development and Social Security, Smt. Joba Majhi, hoisting the flag.
Accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Manoj Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajay Linda, and other dignitaries, Smt. Majhi paid homage to martyrs at the Martyr Memorial.
A parade inspection and salute followed, featuring contingents from various forces.
Minister Majhi addressed the gathering, highlighting the district’s developmental strides and achievements.
The event showcased a spectacular parade by CRPF, District Police Force, Auxiliary Police Force, NCC, Escort and Guide, and Band Party.
Tableaux by 12 departments illustrated diverse schemes and programs, adding a visual representation of development work.
Exceptional officers, police officers, teachers, students, health workers, and social workers were honored for their exemplary contributions to the district.
The District Public Relations Office won the first prize for their tableau "Zameen Hai-Desh Hamara Hai," while the Social Welfare Department’s "Witch Practice" and JSLPS’s "Group to Prosperity" tableaux secured the second and third prizes respectively.
CRPF, NCC- Tata College, and Escort and Guide were acknowledged for their excellent parade conduct.
District Public Relations Officer Ms. Isha Khandelwal, District Social Welfare Officer Suman Singh, JSLPS District Manager Sanjay Kumar, and team were felicitated with trophies by Minister Majhi.
