Tata Steel’s Vijayawada Service Centre Boosts Construction Solutions

New Automated Centre in Vijayawada Marks Tata Steel’s Expansion in Construction Solutions

Tata Steel’s newest fully automated construction service centre in Vijayawada, offering customised reinforcement solutions, signifies a major step in enhancing India’s construction industry capabilities.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s plan to establish 10 fully automated construction service centres by 2025 took a significant step forward with the inauguration of its third centre in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

The newly opened facility represents a key expansion in South India, following the successful launch of centres in Cuttack and Ghaziabad last year.

In collaboration with Samrat Irons Pvt. Ltd., the Vijayawada centre, spanning 5 acres, has commenced operations with a monthly capacity of 3,000 metric tonnes.

This centre stands out for its comprehensive downstream solutions, including the production of Tiscon ReadyBuild, which encompasses customised Cut & Bend Tata Tiscon TMT rebars and coupler threading.

Tata Steel’s commitment to the construction sector was further reinforced during the ‘Converse to Construct’ meet in Hyderabad, drawing over a hundred professionals from various sectors and featuring expert speakers like Charles Arnal and Prashanth Kumar Sreram.

Ashish Anupam, Vice President, Long Products, Tata Steel, emphasised the company’s strategic shift towards downstream business, aiming to revolutionize India’s construction sector with innovative ready-to-use steel products.

This strategic move underlines Tata Steel’s evolution from traditional steel production to a holistic provider of construction solutions, showcasing a dedication to innovation and excellence.

The inauguration event, led by Ashish Anupam, was attended by senior Tata Steel officials and channel partners, marking a significant step in the company’s growing influence in the construction industry.
