HEC Lockout Continues Amidst Unresolved Salary Issues

Jharkhand’s HEC Plant Paralyzed by Ongoing Lockout

The Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited in Ranchi faces a second day of lockout, with workers and officers demanding resolution of pending salary issues.

RANCHI- The Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC) in Ranchi is experiencing a lockout for the second consecutive day, impacting all its three plants.

This lockout has been triggered by the company’s officers and workers united in their demand for resolution of delayed salary payments.

A recent meeting between HEC management and workers, held on Thursday, failed to reach an agreement.

The management team, including the Director of Personnel, Director of Production, General Manager Deepak Dubey, and Prashant Pathak, met with worker representatives.

The worker’s delegation, led by Laldev Singh and others, represented various central committees.

However, the discussions did not lead to any decisive actions regarding the ongoing operations of HEC or the settlement of outstanding dues.

Key unresolved issues include the reinstatement of previous attendance records and issuing pay slips to supply workers.

The impasse in negotiations has led to a breakdown in talks.

In response to this stalemate, the workers are planning a meeting to devise a strategy, potentially intensifying their movement.

They are insisting on the Chairman’s presence in future negotiations, asserting that only his involvement can lead to meaningful resolutions.
