Kalash Yatra Marks Consecration of Lord Bholenath, Mother Annapurna in Sakchi

The Sakchi Sheetala Mandir witnesses a vibrant Kalash Yatra, celebrating the consecration of Lord Bholenath and Mother Annapurna.

JAMSHEDPUR – The consecration ceremony at Sakchi Sheetla Mandir began with a Kalash Yatra, marking the commencement of the 6-day event.

Devotees embarked on a journey to the Mango River to fill their kalash (sacred vessels) with water, returning to the Mandir for the ritual.

The organizer highlighted that the Mandir is hosting the consecration of Lord Bholenath and Mother Annapurna within its premises.

This spiritual event, which started on January 18th, will conclude with a Bhandara (community feast) on January 23rd.

The Kalash Yatra, a significant part of the consecration, saw participation from numerous devotees on its first day.

Participants from various parts of the city are expected to join in the celebrations over the course of the program.

The event is a blend of spiritual fervor and communal harmony, attracting devotees from all corners of the city.

The Kalash Yatra is a traditional procession symbolizing devotion and reverence in Hindu rituals, especially in Mandir consecrations.

Sakchi Sheetala Mandir’s event is a testament to the rich cultural and religious heritage of Jamshedpur.
