Jharkhand’s Varied Weather: Rainfall, Fog, and Temperature Fluctuations

RANCHI – In the last 24 hours, Jharkhand experienced light to moderate rainfall in various parts, with Simdega recording the highest rainfall of 54.4 mm.

The highest temperature reached 23.8 °C in Chaibasa, while Pakur recorded the lowest at 10 °C.

Rainfall distribution included 54.4 mm in Simdega, 52.2 mm in Chakradharpur, and 43.6 mm in Manoharpur among others.

Dense fog has led to visibility issues, causing traffic disruptions and necessitating the use of vehicle lights during the day.

The Meteorological Department predicts dense fog over the next three days, with an orange alert issued for the same.

Temperatures are expected to remain stable for the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual 2-4 °C drop over the subsequent 3-4 days.

From January 19 to 23, the forecast indicates morning fog and partly cloudy skies, with no significant relief from the cold expected until January 23.

Despite these conditions, the weather is likely to remain dry.
