Tight Security Ensures Successful Possession by Housing Board in Seraikela
Seraikela’s Housing Board successfully reclaimed its land in Adityapur Municipal Corporation’s Ward 31, overcoming local opposition and ensuring allottees’ possession.
ADITYAPUR – In Seraikela, the Housing Board initiated a forceful campaign to reclaim its land in Road No. 13-14 of Ward 31, Adityapur Municipal Corporation, following the expiration of the deadline on Wednesday.
The operation was conducted under tight security, ensuring the successful possession of land for the Housing Board allottees.
Former councilor Rinku Rai, who previously opposed the Board’s efforts, was arrested by police during the recent campaign.
Alongside Rai, an individual named Virendra Singh was also detained, highlighting the administration’s stern approach.
For years, the Housing Board struggled to gain possession due to local resistance, leading the allottees to seek intervention from the High Court.
Following High Court orders, the administration employed rigorous measures, deploying three JCBs and establishing a comprehensive siege for the operation.
The administrative action, marked by its strictness, faced no protests this time, indicating a shift in the local response to the Board’s possession campaign.
The successful execution of this campaign marks a significant step for the Housing Board in asserting its rights over the contested land in Seraikela.
