JAMSHEDPUR – A harrowing incident occurred in the Parsudih area of Jamshedpur, where an 11-year-old girl was physically hurt and threatened by two individuals, including a minor.
The assault took place on the evening of January 11, close to the victim’s home.
Following the attack, the girl’s health significantly deteriorated, leading her family to discover the unfortunate event and subsequently admit her to Sadar Hospital.
The police were informed on January 12, and they quickly apprehended the accused – a 23-year-old youth and a 15-year-old minor.
Both assailants confessed to their crime upon arrest.
The court ordered the minor to a child remand home and the 23-year-old to jail.
The girl, in her statement to the police, recounted being lured from her home and taken to a nearby deserted location where the assault occurred.
Her mother reported the child’s intense fear and the drastic change in her health post-incident.
Community members, appalled by the incident, gathered at the Parsudih police station, demanding justice.
This case underscores the growing concern for child safety in the area and the community’s call for stronger protective measures against such crimes.
