BJP Launches Scathing Attack on Jharkhand’s Hemant Soren Government
Tuhin Sinha Alleges Corruption and Poor Governance in Jharkhand
In a scathing critique of Hemant Soren’s administration, BJP’s Tuhin Sinha points out rampant corruption, poor governance, and a failing law and order situation in Jharkhand, underlining the state’s developmental challenges and contrasting it with Modi’s achievements.
DELHI – In a press conference Saturday, Tuhin Sinha, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party, launched a vehement attack on the Hemant Soren-led government in Jharkhand.
He emphasized the Modi government’s successful initiatives, contrasting them with Soren’s alleged misgovernance.
According to Sinha, the Modi administration efficiently completed the Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway project, previously stalled under the UPA government, reducing travel time significantly.
He also lauded Modi’s efforts in reviving the Deoghar temple complex, constructing the Deoghar airport, and globally recognizing Birsa Munda’s legacy.
Sinha accused the Soren government of undermining Jharkhand’s progress and tarnishing the state’s unique blend of urban development and tribal culture.
The BJP spokesperson condemned Soren’s alleged support for an urban Naxal mentality, citing a controversial statement where Soren advised against banking and encouraged hoarding cash underground.
Sinha contrasted this with Modi’s push for financial inclusion through the Jan Dhan Yojana, which has opened 1.7 crore accounts in Jharkhand.
He criticized the JMM government’s handling of kidnapping and ransom cases in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad, suggesting government complicity.
Sinha highlighted Soren’s broken promises on job creation and the state’s failing healthcare system, pointing to the stark contrast with Modi’s governance.
He also mentioned the rampant crime in Ranchi, including thefts, kidnappings, and rapes, attributing this to the Soren administration’s negligence.
The BJP spokesperson accused Soren of being complicit in mining scams and issuing contracts to associates while overseeing the Ministry of Mining and Environment.
He alleged involvement of officials close to Soren, like IAS officer Pooja Singhal, in these scams.
Sinha detailed how land and mining scams under Soren’s watch involved the sale of prime plots in Ranchi using fraudulent means.
He also pointed out the repeated summoning of CM Soren by the ED over various scams, including land, mining, and liquor.
Lastly, Sinha accused the Hemant Soren government of rampant corruption and administrative anarchy, drawing parallels with Congress-ruled states.
