District Magistrate Reviews Pending Cases, Focuses on Timely Justice
Jamshedpur’s District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, has emphasized prioritizing cases related to women harassment, POCSO, and SC ST Act for swift execution.
JAMSHEDPUR – During a review meeting in the Collectorate’s office, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri evaluated the backlog of cases.
Joining him were legal professionals including the Public Prosecutor, Government Advocate, and other law enforcement officials.
The meeting’s focus was on various pending cases, encompassing criminal and civil issues, POCSO Act violations, government land security, cybercrime, and other serious offenses.
Bhajantri emphasized the need for an online action plan to manage these cases efficiently.
He stressed the importance of systematic record-keeping for all cases.
A specific directive was issued to create a priority list of at least 50 cases, particularly those related to women harassment, POCSO, and SC ST, requiring intensive monitoring.
This move is seen as a step towards ensuring timely justice and more effective case handling.
Such prioritization is crucial in addressing sensitive and pressing legal matters, reflecting the administration’s commitment to swift and fair legal proceedings.
