MLA Saryu Roy to Address Tata Motors Workplace Accidents

Concerns Raised Over Employee Safety and Working Conditions at Tata Motors

Saryu Roy Ready to Intervene Following Deaths in Tata Motors, Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy has announced his intention to intervene in the recent concerns surrounding workplace accidents at Tata Motors in Jamshedpur.

He expressed alarm over the functioning of Tata Motors, citing employee dissatisfaction and lack of visible CSR initiatives.

The matter came to the forefront following the unfortunate death of By-6 workman Sriram Prasad, a temporary employee, at the plant.

Prasad, 54, from Bhalubasa, allegedly suffered a fatal heart attack while working in the rear axle department.

This incident, occurring just days after another employee’s death, has cast a shadow of mourning over the workforce.

In response, Tata Motors Workers Union and the management reached an agreement regarding compensation and support for Prasad’s family.

The family, including Prasad’s wife, father, son, and daughter, met with union representatives and management to discuss support.

A comprehensive support package was agreed upon, including employment for Prasad’s son, educational assistance for his daughter, and financial compensation for the family.

Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote, General Secretary RK Singh, and other officials played a key role in facilitating this agreement.

The company’s swift response and the union’s involvement were acknowledged and appreciated by the family and community members.

However, now that Saryu Roy has made his intentions to intervene on safety issue clear, the issue is likely to see increasing focus in the coming days.
