Champat Rai announced that the puja ritual is set to commence on January 16, with the idol being installed in the sanctum sanctorum on the 18th.
The idol’s body, weighing approximately one and a half tons, is crafted entirely from a solid, dark-colored stone.
Champat Rai provided a detailed description of the statue, stating that it measures four feet, 3 inches in height, approximately 51 inches from toe to eye eyebrow.
The item consists of a small head, crown, and halo.
The general secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust provided a detailed description of the idol, emphasizing its divine nature as the incarnation of God, specifically Vishnu.
He possesses both royal lineage and divine qualities, being the son of a king.
Two black stone idols made of Karnataka leaves will be installed – one in the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram and the other two at different locations.
The decision was made by the Ram Mandir Trust, taking into consideration the portrayal of Ram in Ramcharitmanas and Valmiki Ramayana.
