PM Modi mourns DMDK leader Vijaykant’s Corona-related death.

Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) head Captain Vijayakanth died of Corona on Thursday.

DMDK founder and former Tamil actor Vijayakanth died at a Chennai hospital, according to reports. MIOT International released a statement. It reported Vijayakanth was hospitalized for pneumonia. Since then, he was ventilated.

Despite doctors’ attempts, he died on 28 December 2023 morning. Actor and DMDK chairman Captain Vijayakanth died at a Chennai hospital, media said. The positive Covid-19 report put him on ventilatory support.

The Tamil Nadu government would cremate DMDK founder Vijayakanth with full state honours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) founder Vijayakanth’s death has left a gap in Tamil Nadu politics that will be hard to fill.

PM Modi expressed his grief on ‘X’ after Vijaykant ji’s death. He was a Tamil film legend whose magnetism captivated millions.

The Prime Minister added that he was deeply devoted to public service as a politician. His influence on Tamil Nadu politics was profound. His death leaves a gap that will be hard to fill.

Fans of DMDK leader Captain Vijayakanth are in tears after his death. Captain Vijayakanth is loved.

After a positive Corona test, he had problems breathing. After his condition declined, he died on a ventilator on Thursday morning.
