Former IPS Files FIR Against JSCA Members

Ex-IPS Nirmala Kaur Accuses JSCA Members of Document Theft

Former IPS officer Nirmala Kaur files an FIR against six JSCA members for allegedly stealing documents from her late husband Amitabh Choudhary’s room.

RANCHI – Nirmala Kaur, a former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, has taken legal action against six members of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA).

She filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Dhurva police station, alleging the theft of crucial documents from the room of her late husband, Amitabh Choudhary.

Named in the FIR are Ajay Nath Shahdev, Rajiv Singh, Rajesh Verma, Ranjit Singh, Rajiv Bandhan, and Devashish Chakraborty, all accused of pilfering documents.

Kaur asserts that these documents pertain to her husband’s property.

Amitabh Choudhary, who passed away on August 16, 2022, was closely associated with cricket and had his office at the JSCA Stadium in Dhurwa, Ranchi.

Nirmala Kaur recounts her unsuccessful attempt to retrieve her husband’s personal papers and property from his office on September 15, 2022.

She claims that upon her arrival, the accused individuals fled the scene and that she faced denial of entry, mistreatment, threats, and her son was abused.

The FIR details the alleged theft of family papers, including documents related to ancestral land in Darbhanga and Musabani, educational certificates, and bank bond papers.

Nirmala Kaur alleges that these items were stored in her late husband’s room at the stadium.

Despite her repeated efforts, the documents and property have not been returned.

This case has brought to light serious allegations involving members of a prominent sports association and the legal struggles of a bereaved family.
