President Murmu Awards Tata Steel for Energy Conservation Excellence
Tata Steel’s H Blast Furnace received the first prize in the National Energy Conservation Awards 2023, honored by President Draupadi Murmu for its energy conservation achievements.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s H Blast Furnace has been distinguished with the first prize at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2023 in New Delhi, recognized by President Draupadi Murmu.
The prestigious award was received by Chief of Blast Furnace, Padmapal, and team members including Chief H Blast Furnace Shambhunath, Head H Blast Furnace Radhe Raman, and Sumit Dubey.
This award ceremony witnessed 187 applications from the industry sector, spanning four categories.
Under Padmapal’s leadership, the H Blast Furnace team successfully implemented the "Use of Coke Dry Quenching System Fuel Consumption" project.
Chief Shambhunath acknowledged the collective effort of every employee at H Blast Furnace in achieving this milestone.
The Ministry of Power, Government of India, confers this award as a testament to exceptional endeavors in the field of energy conservation.
