Hemant Soren Government Likely to Reintroduce 1932 Khatian Bill

Upcoming Winter Session to See 1932 Khatian Bill, Confirms JMM MLA

The Hemant Soren government reaffirms commitment to reintroduce the 1932 Khatian-based local policy bill in the upcoming winter session.

RANCHI – In an assertive move, the Hemant Soren government is gearing up to reintroduce the 1932 Khatian-based local policy bill in the upcoming winter session.

This development follows a strategic session led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, where the ruling party’s ministers and MLAs laid out their plans for the session.

JMM MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu confirmed the cabinet meeting slated for December 15 will discuss this proposal.

Despite facing a setback with the Governor previously returning the proposal, the government’s resolve remains unshaken.

Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam stressed the importance of addressing public concerns and ensuring the House functions productively.

He called for a collaborative effort from both the ruling and opposition parties for a smooth session.

The government’s focus extends beyond the bill, with Minister Banna Gupta highlighting their commitment to youth welfare and forthcoming appointments.

Gupta assured that the Dheeraj Sahu cash scandal and questions about the Enforcement Directorate (ED) would be addressed in the House.

Further details on the local policy will be deliberated at an appropriate time following the bill’s reintroduction, as per the government’s plan.
